Dynamic Podcast Widget
This widget comes with an Airtable sheet template that includes built-in formulas to help you manage your podcast data. Just drop the episode information into a new copy of the spreadsheet and connect it to the site and widget to list out all of your episodes. All content is updated in the Airtable base manually by the end user.
What can be edited:
- Show or hide any of the metadata fields (Season number, Episode number, Date, Tags, Category)
- Change the divider style that appears between the metadata fields
- Stylize the search bar (border, height, font, rounded corners)
- Customize the fonts for the metadata, title, and description
- Customize how many items appear per 'page' for the pagination
- Choose from a few options to customize the pagination format (i.e. show first/last, show x number of results before and after the current page)
Formulas in the Airtable sheet:
- "Pretty date" formatter (Please specify the date format you'd prefer at time of purchase)
- Tag link maker -- If you are going to link to tag pages, we will provide a formula that you can use to hyperlink those. This one is just a starter formula and you'll have to customize it to build out the formula for each unique tag, but we'll provide a tutorial video and the examples in the starter template.
- "Publish date is valid" formula -- This formula calculates if the publish date has passed or is in the future. If it already happened, then the podcast episode will be valid for the collection results and will appear in your widget results on the live site.
- Publish order - This makes use of the autonumber column type and converts it to be Duda-friendly to keep your episodes appearing in order in the widget (showing the most recent result first and descending from there). Req: adding your episodes in order to the base. We can also provide a formula that pulls the episode number from the URL if that is applicable. We'll discuss that after purchase to identify the best option.
- More can be added by request either with the Bundle package or as one-off support charge.
All Widget Pro widgets can be used any number of times on any site in your account.
