Process
Step 1: Ask about any customizations or questions you have BEFORE you buy
BEFORE a purchase, please bring up any customization requests you have or questions about functionality. If you have never worked with me, we can schedule a call or I can add you as a user to a site to test out the widget. If you need a feature that doesn't exist already, I'll provide an estimate and ETA if I'm able to take on the customization. My business is just me, so I do have to decline some requests or schedule things months out at times.
Step 2: Provide account transfer email and complete invoice
NEW: Widgets are transferred via Duda support ticket in most cases now! The only info I need to complete a transfer is the email of the account owner. Not a team user, not a customer user, the owner. Duda transfers it directly into that account. Invoices are sent via Stripe, Harvest, or Wise App. Please note, if I receive the wrong email I do now charge a $20 fee for each additional support interaction. If you aren't sure which account this is, please ask within your org or contact support.
Step 3. You love your widget!
We mean it! If there's something that isn't working quite right, we want to make it right. Let us know if you need something tweaked, like the description of an input field, and we'll either add it for free or let you know an estimate for additional dev time depending on the scope of the request.

Widget Pro's normal hours of operation are in North America
M - F 9 AM - 5 PM MT
Request Custom Widgets
➡️ While I want to say yes to every custom widget request, I primarily focus on dynamic-related widgets and will pass on any eCommerce requests, anything related to collecting private information from customers (I especially will never build you anything that requires collecting a social security number), and animations. Thanks for understanding! To submit a custom widget request, please fill out a 'widget request template' form on the widget request page.
License Types
➡️ Purchases from the Widget Shop grant you a Single Agency license by default.
Usage Terms
➡️ Your account
MUST have access to the Widget Builder. If you're the account owner, check under the
Custom Assets dropdown to verify that you can open the widget builder.
Agency plans and higher have widget builder permissions. If you're not the account owner, check with your admin.
➡️ Since you have direct access to our intellectual property after we add it to your account, we have a no refund policy. Please email us before purchase with any questions, even if it's about something minor.
➡️ We use Stripe for our payment processor. Email us if you need to do an international transfer via Wise instead and we can send an invoice. (Wise is the only method by which we accept international bank transfers.)
➡️ We do not fix errors for free if you modify the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or field variables. If our widget breaks and it's our fault or Duda's fault, we'll first identify the issue, then give you an ETA on a fix. If it's due to a Duda bug, we can't promise a resolution timeline. We've only seen that happen once so far when they were upgrading jQuery and it was fixed within 3 hours.
➡️ Feature requests are not bugs. If you want a modification, we bill a fee proportionate to the swap. That might be $5 and it might be $500 depending on what you're asking us to change. We'll give you an estimate and list of deliverables before working on changes.
Pricing
Pricing widgets is tough! Our latest formula for pricing takes into account competitor's pricing to some extent but is primarily based on the time it takes us to build the widget in the first place. For example, the All in One Filter Widget took me over 1,200 hours to build and test, so I need my lifetime sales to recoup 30 weeks of salary just to break even.
Custom Widgets
$150/hour with a $1,000 minimum
Project hours include time emailing you, talking to you in a video call, time spent making videos to train you or your clients, time spent planning out details of your project, time spent coding your project, time spent setting up account details for you or configuring widgets and data, and anything else that relates to Widget Pro spending time to benefit your agency. Sometimes I *won't* bill if I'm confused on a requirement that we've already discussed, and I won't bill my time if I decide to redo something a better way.
Payment Terms
Existing customers
Payment is generally due before delivery, but can be invoiced on a monthly basis if you've already spent $1K with Widget Pro.
New customers:
- $500 or 50% deposit is required on all projects
- Payment is due just before delivery once a project is ready for review and will be delivered to you after full payment is completed during business hours via a Duda support agent
- Payment due before delivery for Widget Shop items
- If scoping exceeds 1 hour or your emails are incoherent then a deposit is required for me to take your project seriously. I can only put so much effort into evaluating a project if you aren't doing your part.
